What are the different scales of Gunpla?

Last updated on May 08, 2026

Gunpla kits come in different scales, which tell you how large the finished model is compared with the fictional mobile suit. The most common scales are 1/144, 1/100, 1/60 and sometimes 1/48.

1/144 scale is the most common size. High Grade and Real Grade kits are usually in this scale. These kits are compact, affordable and easy to display, making them ideal for beginners or collectors with limited space.

1/100 scale kits are larger and have more shelf presence. Master Grade and Full Mechanics kits often use this scale. They are a good choice if you want a more detailed build without going into very large model sizes.

1/60 scale kits are big display pieces. Perfect Grade kits often use this scale and usually offer more advanced construction, internal frames and detailed engineering. They need more time, space and budget, but they can look amazing when finished.

1/48 scale is less common and is usually used for special large releases, such as Mega Size-style kits. These models are made for strong visual impact.

Choosing a scale depends on your space, budget and build confidence. Kidultverse stocks Gunpla across multiple scales so customers can choose the size and build experience that suits them best.
