1/60 scale Gunpla is a large Gundam model kit size made for serious shelf presence. These kits are much bigger than 1/144 and 1/100 models, so they are often treated as centrepiece builds.
The most famous 1/60 line is Perfect Grade. Perfect Grade kits are known for advanced engineering, detailed inner frames, layered armour and a longer build process. Some releases may also include extra mechanical details or special features.
The biggest appeal of 1/60 scale is impact. Because the kit is large, the details are easier to see and appreciate. Armour panels, hands, weapons, thrusters and frame sections all have more room to stand out.
Of course, larger kits also need more space, more time and usually a higher budget. They are best for builders who want a project rather than a quick evening build. They can be very rewarding, but they are not usually the first kit we would suggest to a complete beginner.
